"Project runway" alum nick verreos is now the author of "a passion for fashion"

Anyone who is familiar with fabric and a sewing machine knows that the 15th season of the hit reality series  “Project Runway” premiered on Lifetime this week. In honor of this TV milestone, we caught up with  designer, “Project Runway” alum and now author Nick Verreos to talk about his new book, “A Passion For  Fashion.”

With over 20 years in the fashion industry, the Venezuelan-born Verreos has gathered his thoughts about  design and business as well as the lessons learned from his reality TV experiences into what he calls “an  extended remix” that current and future fashionistas will want to read.

We talked to Nick about his design guidelines for dressing some of the today’s most stunning stars  including Beyonce, Heidi Klum and Katy Perry. This popular style guru also reflects on how “Project  Runway’s” Tim Gunn, has influenced his career.

 Merchandising in downtown
Los Angeles in this report from Adrina Rose.
