"The CONFIRMATION" - CLIVE OWEN AND JAEDEN LIeBERHER COSTAR IN INDIE DRAMEDY
When moviegoers think of Clive Owen, they probably recall his roles in "Children of Men," "Closer" and "The Bourne Identity." TV fans know him as the troubled surgeon "Dr. John Thackery" on the Cinemax series "The Knick."
Now, the actor takes a family-oriented turn in his latest big screen project, "The Confirmation" from Oscar-nominated screenwriter and first-time director Bob Nelson. Owen plays "Walt," a struggling carpenter and alcoholic whose ex-wife asks him to take care of their eight-year-old son "Anthony," (Jaeden Lieberher) while she is away on a short trip with her new husband. "Anthony" and his dad have an uneasy relationship and neither are looking forward to the next 48 hours together. Plans for a low-key weekend are upended by a series of problems and when "Walt's" toolbox is stolen, the father-and-son duo must spend their time together searching for the thieves.
